Meet the Leaders & Participants

I have a wonderful husband of 13 years and 4 beautiful babies, 3 on earth and 1 in Heaven.

I’m a supervisor at a large hospital/organization which allows me to be a light at some of the darkest/most difficult times for numerous patients, family and my co-workers.

The Lady (Mary?) that washed Jesus’ feet with her hair and oil from her box.  I came to Jesus, broken, stressed and filled with shame.  However, I didn’t care what people thought.  I cried out on Jesus’ feet and he delivered and saved me.  I had nothing to offer him but me, and that is just what he wanted.

• Daughter of veteran missionaries to Haiti (Jacques & Marie Alexandre)

With a degree in Health Service Administration, I’ve worked in accounting and as an administrator.  Since then God has led me into a season of homeschooling and tutoring those in my care.  My most treasured role is being a supporting wife to Brent and mama to my favorite five.

I look at these women as godly role models:  1.  Abigail for her wisdom and courage,  2.  Priscilla for her teamwork in ministry and love for the gospel, 3. my mother (Marie) for her faithfulness and grace.  Though my mom is highly educated, she always put family first and served alongside my dad with quiet strength.  Each of these women reminds me what godly wisdom and devotion look like in daily life.

Maurice DeJean, Rilee DeJean, Maurice DeJean II, Eden DeJean

I am a Christian, Wife, Mother, and a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I am significantly moved by Elizabeth Elliot, who was the wife of Jim Elliot.  She chose to forgive the very people who murdered her husband.  With grace, mercy, obedience, and trust in God’s sovereignty.  She brought her husband’s murderers the message of God’s love, forgiveness, and Gospel.  She inspires us to live courageously, forgive deeply, and trust that God can bring redemption out of the darkest circumstances.

• Antonio Engleberg, husband

• Alyssa Engleberg, daughter

Forensic/clinical lab scientist- analyze blood work in laboratory setting to provide patient care.  I assist medical & legal personnel w/diagnostic testing & identification.

Priscilla- She was a follower of Jesus Christ and teacher of the gospel.  She helped with explaining the Scriptures more accurately.  She was respectful and sincere in her service to the LORD.

She has brought her girls since our inception in 2022.  She is a wife and a mother to two boys as well.

I have two adorable nieces, Raelynne (pictured above) and Julie Kay, that I wish were able to join Brave Beauties, but they live too far away.  As it is, I do love all participants very much!  My family are those who follow the LORD Jesus Christ.

I want to be the teacher, the leader, the witness that the LORD deserves. 

Esther encourages me to be brave and hope in the face of adversity.  Ruth encourages me to give all I have to the LORD, no matter what loss enters my life.  Priscilla encourages me to be prepared to help and teach others about Jesus Christ.

She is a sister to participant, Talana.  She was a great help throughout the first year!

She is a mother to our dear Dai'Ja, who I can't seem to find a picture of.  She also has a son.

They were key participants in the first year of our inception.  I am so thankful for their love and support!
