TASTING LIFE
ON THE FRONT PORCH WITH YOU!
TEA TASTINGS
How many flavors of tea have you tasted? Do you know what oolong tea is? It's my favorite! Are there any herbs or fruits that you like better than others? Are there any flavors that you don't like? Fill out a questionnaire and then we can order samples to taste test!
TEA TRYSTS
A tea party is a tea party. Actually, tea parties in the Unites States have a stereotype of being for women and/or girls only. But, that hasn't been the experiences in the rest of the world's cultures! Are you willing to learn? Would you be open to exploring some tea parties that surpass your expectations in both theme and guests?
TEA IN THE TERROIR
Tea is the dried leaves and buds from the camellia sinensis plant. It was believed to have fallen into a Chinese emperors cup thousands of years ago and, thus, the drink was born. Many years later the English found tea plants in India.... Just like wine, tea takes on the flavors of its local environment, whether deeply affected by humans or not. This is the terroir! Explore how these drinks and other beverage/food items are grown in the natural realm before becoming what we consume.

EXPLORE THE PORCH....
How do you combine gardening, tea, and a love for learning to create a dream business? It takes time but starting with seeds is a good thing. I gained my tea specialist certification in 2014 while still living on a farm in colorful Colorado. Upon moving to New Orleans I worked in a children's (MOSTLY GIRLS...) party tea room. I taught kindergarten during the COVID pandemic. I've now worked in a retail greenhouse for 4+ years learning how the climate, bugs, diseases, and more affect plants' growth. These experiences have taught me several things, including that gardening is a lifetime learning experience, wherever you may live! Gardening is a lot of work.... So, where to begin? Hmmm... why don't we find some middle ground on the front porch?
