AFTER A WHILE I REALIZED THAT IT WOULD BE A GOOD THING TO TURN IT INTO A FULL LESSON SERIES FOR ADULTS. I ALTERED LAYOUTS, ADDED THINGS, TOOK AWAY THINGS. I LOOKED BACK INTO THE GREEK AND HEBREW. I DUG DEEP INTO THE OLD TESTAMENT AS WELL AS THE NEW. EVERY LESSON HAS A PRACTICAL APPLICATION FOR GROWING YOUR OWN PERSONAL GARDEN. BE PREPARED TO WORK, IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE! THERE ARE FOUR BOOKS, FOUR GOSPELS THAT GIVE US SIMILAR THOUGH DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS OF WHAT HAPPENED TO JESUS THAT LAST WEEK BEFORE HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION. I'VE READ MANY BOOKS, ARTICLES, BLOGS, AND NO TWO ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. HONESTLY, THAT'S OKAY. THIS IS MY SEARCH OF THIS ALL-IMPORTANT WEEK LEADING UP TO THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!
Walking in the Way with Jesus
Too often the human population takes the ability to walk for granted. We learn how to do it early on and without it we can have some major difficulties. When I was 16, I had to learn how to walk again and it has helped shaped my view of life. I wrote/compiled a 70-day devotional centered on how some everyday experiences can help our view of the relationship we have with Jesus and those around us. Slavery according to the Bible
THIS CAN BE A HARD SUBJECT TO DISCUSS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON YOU ARE DISCUSSING IT WITH HAD ANCESTORS IN THE AFRICAN SLAVE TRADE. SLAVE OWNERS AND OTHERS HAVE SAID THAT THERE IS BIBLICAL PRECEDENT FOR AMERICAN SLAVERY'S EXISTSENCE. I, AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS WHO CAME BEFORE ME, DISAGREE. IT'S NOT JUST A HARD SUBJECT TO DISCUSS BUT ONE THAT REQUIRES A LOT OF DEEP SEARCHING. HOW FAR WILL YOU GO TO HELP RECONCILE "BLACK" AND "WHITE" PEOPLE?
Trying to Date Israel's Exodus
I've been taught about the Exodus my whole life in the churches I've attended. I've watched movies and documentaries on TV. Some say it never happened, there's no archaeological evidence. But, what if because of the name Ramesses included in the biblical account the time of the Exodus is dated wrong. Not too long ago I heard an Egyptian archaeologist saying that he considered other details in the Scriptures to date the Exodus, but most aren't reliable. One of the one's that I had never considered was the account of Jephthah. After hearing about it though, I started my own research. Was the judge unreliable? Was his account of history inaccurate? This is a small presentation that I compiled with the information I found.
